IAEB leaders with the management team from UNIMEL on 07 December 2023.
Melaka, December 7, 2023 – The leadership of the Indonesia
International Association of Economics & Business (IAEB) held an important
meeting with the management team of Universiti Melaka (UNIMEL) on December 7,
2023. This meeting aims to strengthen collaboration between the two
institutions in economic education research and business.
In his speech, Prof. Ts. Dr. Shafinar Ismail expressed his
appreciation for this valuable opportunity to discuss directly with the UNIMEL
management team. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation in
facing global challenges in the economic and business fields. He hoped this
meeting could produce mutually beneficial cooperation programs for both
parties.
UNIMEL also welcomed the visit of the IAEB delegation and
expressed its enthusiasm for the various cooperation opportunities that could
be developed to highlight the potential for collaboration in research, joint
publications, exchange of lecturers and students, and holding international
seminars and conferences.
This meeting was marked by in-depth discussions regarding
various strategic initiatives, including developing dual degree programs,
preparing joint research proposals, and establishing a research center that
focuses on current economic and business issues. Both parties agreed to form a
special working team to formulate and implement various cooperation programs
that have been discussed.
In addition, IAEB and UNIMEL are committed to strengthening
the alum network and increasing industry involvement in their academic programs
to ensure the relevance and quality of the education provided.
This meeting marked a positive first step in strengthening
relations between IAEB and UNIMEL, hoping to bring significant benefits to the
development of economics and business in Indonesia and Malaysia. Both are
committed to continuing to collaborate to impact both countries' academic and
professional communities positively.
In this way, IAEB and UNIMEL affirm their commitment to
working together to overcome global challenges and advance knowledge in
economics and business for a better future.
