Melaka, 2024 – Participants of the Melaka
International Collaboration, Visiting Lecturer, and Community Service (MICVECS)
2024 had the opportunity to visit Universitas Islam Melaka
(UIM), where they engaged in a series of enriching academic
activities, including Visiting Lecturer sessions, Visiting
Student programs, and an International Seminar.
The event aimed to foster academic collaboration
and promote knowledge exchange between students and faculty from various
universities in Indonesia and Malaysia. Through the Visiting Lecturer
program, renowned academics from both countries delivered insightful lectures
on topics related to economics, business, and global development.
The Visiting Student program allowed
students to interact with peers, participate in cultural exchange, and gain
valuable experiences in an international academic setting. This initiative
provided students with the opportunity to broaden their perspectives and
develop skills essential for success in a globalized world.
The International Seminar
brought together academics, industry professionals, and students from Indonesia
and Malaysia to discuss current issues in economics, business, and
sustainability. Keynote speakers and panelists shared their expertise on
innovative strategies for addressing global challenges, such as economic
growth, environmental sustainability, and cross-border cooperation.
The event was attended by Prof. Ts. Dr.
Shafinar Ismail, President of IAEB, and UIM’s academic leaders, who
expressed their support for the continued collaboration between universities in
both countries. “This visit highlights the importance of fostering deeper
academic relationships to address global issues, and we look forward to more
joint initiatives in the future,” said Prof. Shafinar.
The visit to Universitas Islam Melaka marked a
successful chapter in MICVECS 2024, emphasizing the importance of academic
collaboration and the value of global partnerships in enhancing education and
research.
