IAEB Hosts MICVECS 2024: Strengthening Collaboration Between Indonesian and Malaysian Universities

Melaka, 2024 – The International Association of Economic and Business (IAEB) successfully organized the Melaka International Collaboration, Visiting Lecturer, and Community Service (MICVECS) 2024, held at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UITM) Cawangan Melaka and Universitas Islam Melaka (UIM). The event brought together representatives from 25 universities in Indonesia to enhance academic partnerships and global engagement.

MICVECS 2024 focused on fostering collaboration through joint academic activities such as visiting lecturer programs, community service initiatives, and strategic discussions aimed at addressing shared educational and societal challenges.

The event also served as a platform to formalize partnerships through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IAEB and participating universities. This agreement underlines IAEB’s commitment to supporting academic excellence, research, and sustainable development.

In her opening remarks, Prof. Ts. Dr. Shafinar Ismail, President of IAEB, highlighted the importance of international collaboration in higher education. “MICVECS 2024 is a testament to our shared vision of creating impactful academic and community initiatives that transcend borders,” she stated.

The program included lectures by prominent speakers, interactive workshops, and site visits, allowing participants to exchange knowledge and explore avenues for collaborative research and innovation. Representatives from Indonesian universities expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to engage with Malaysian institutions and IAEB’s facilitation of the initiative.

MICVECS 2024 concluded with a commitment to sustaining and expanding these collaborative efforts, ensuring long-term benefits for the academic and professional communities in both countries.
